Hi guys,

I'm buildin my bike with a 1098 tail fairing. I dont have the undertray yet and was thinking about making it from sheet metal.

My question is: How is the proces from drawing to making the metal? I cant draw it "over" or how do you call it in english. If it was a flat piece I could lay paper beneath, draw the edges and put it on sheet metal. Anyone some tips on how to do it? The template making seems to be the most difficult i guess.

(ill post a pic in a few minutes)

The reason to NOT buy a finished undertray is I'm making the exhaust beneath so I dont need a very fancy one. Fiberglass is also an option but I'm not very experienced with it.

Use some stiff card and a craft knife and some sticky tape to make the shape of what you want, then use that as your template.
