All you oil cooled GSXR guys. Need some input. I have a '91 750M motor with 907cc big bore pistons, 750M head. Last part I need for my 907 is cams. Missed out on a set stock 750M cams. Found a set of some sort of 1100 cams with slotted sprockets. Cams are of unknown grind. Came from a 1340 race motor is all I know about them. First question. Do the 1100 cams fit the 750 head? Second, How big a grind can I feesably go in this setup? Not really into some sadisticly tall duration in a street motor.

Yeah be carefull with that duration, my 750's got race cams (again unknown specs) but their not good on the street at all. As far as I know, I thought the 1100 guys were runnin' 750 cams (I may be way wrong)... I don't like to mension other sites here, but I gotta say that www.olskoolsuzuki.info is a sure bet for any of your Suzuki questions (especially oil coolers), just look on the board. Also look into a 4-5 degree advance for your bike they help bottom end torque too (good for street motors)..

What parts were involved in the big bore kit??? And if you don't mind me askin' how much did the whole thing cost???

Maybe about the time you get the jetting sorted out for this combo, I'll give it a try :LolLolLolLol: , until then I'll let you have all the fun!!! Feel free to PM with details.

Thanks,
Glen

Well, I didn't build the bike originaly. This was once a sportman drag bike around the area here. It got passed around for a couple years. I got it from a buddy that runs a local custom shop in trade for doing his website. When I got it, the head was removed and the pistons were rusted to the cylinders. I managed to free up the pistons and had the cylinders rehoned. The head was junk. Somewhere along the lines the cam caps were lost and the cams were gone. So I'm in the midst of piecing all the parts back together. Last couple of bits I need are cams and new rings. The pistons are only maked with they're size. 77mm. No manufacturer. I think KWS Motorsports built the engine originaly so I'm gona have to pick my buddies brain about it. Luckly he is their superbike race team mechanic and one of their top engine builders :D . Good having friends in the right places. The carb jetting is going to be odd as it came with a set of 41mm Mickey Rooney Flat slides. So that's gona be hell in itself. I may consider selling them for a pretty penny and sourcing a set of stock 38's.

I've also been banging around OSS for some info. Not getting the best answers so far. More 1100 info then 750 stuff over there. Maybe I should just sell it all and get a 1200 motor, hahaha.
Worst case, I'll swing by my old job and see if there's a set of 750 Kat cams hidding were I left them.
