Looking good man. I have a 81 750F and I have a 79 750F frame that I would like to put a SSA on. These are great bikes. I got around the pods issue with some ignition coils off of a CBR F2 a performance 4-1 exhaust and a little richer jetting. Bike runs great and pulls hard. Keep up the good work!!

I would have never thought about using a hydraulic jack.

I would swap the stems. That way everything works and looks like it should and you know that its strong.

What about something like this? Its 3/4 al plate that is bolted on by the pivot bolt and engine bolt. The same two that held the original foot rest brackets...

I guess it is. It looked like you only had it bolted on through the pivot but I guess you are using 2 mounting points. I can see how that would make you feel cramped. Im 5'11 and it works for me. With the SATO rearsets I also have about 2'' of adjustability. I know you said your feet don't drag but seeing those pegs hang down below the frame rails makes me nervous

They have two mounting points currently. The pivot bolt and a triangular tab to the frame that i made as hidden as possible (in the pics you can only see the weld really). The lower mount is shared with the top bolt of the rear set. Still looking at ways to modify them but I think it will look much better when everything is painted and cleaned up.

Also, the lower bolt is about even with the base of the frame. Picture is deceiving a bit
I gotcha. Well then disregard everything I've said! I can wait to see it finished. It looks pretty tough as is
