What about something like this? Its 3/4 al plate that is bolted on by the pivot bolt and engine bolt. The same two that held the original foot rest brackets...

On my set up that would move the rear sets a few inches forward which I can't afford to do (I'm 6' 4"). Isn't it the same concept I have, just with a cleaner piece of metal?

I guess it is. It looked like you only had it bolted on through the pivot but I guess you are using 2 mounting points. I can see how that would make you feel cramped. Im 5'11 and it works for me. With the SATO rearsets I also have about 2'' of adjustability. I know you said your feet don't drag but seeing those pegs hang down below the frame rails makes me nervous

They have two mounting points currently. The pivot bolt and a triangular tab to the frame that i made as hidden as possible (in the pics you can only see the weld really). The lower mount is shared with the top bolt of the rear set. Still looking at ways to modify them but I think it will look much better when everything is painted and cleaned up.

Also, the lower bolt is about even with the base of the frame. Picture is deceiving a bit

I gotcha. Well then disregard everything I've said! I can wait to see it finished. It looks pretty tough as is

Update: (Or lack thereof)

After putting a brand new tire on the front, having the electrical checked out by a shop, and getting the shifter functional I haven't had any time to work on this. Hardest part is having it in storage so I cant just go out to the garage for an hour a night. Its gotta be a couple hour commitment. That and getting engaged leaves little time for side projects.

I'm going to list it on craigslist again for $3500 and see if I get any bites. If anyone on here knows somebody interested please pm me. I can't thank the CF community enough for their help up to this point. Cheers!
