Greetings...Dudad has been needling me to post up a thread so I figured I better get to it.

Getting close to finishing my 82 Kat project. Started with a roller from the Arizona desert...braced the frame and dropped in an 02 Bandit 1200 (1157cc) motor, full suspension ungrade (0 mile 02 gsxr1000 forks, modded ZRX1100 swingarm, NTC race shocks, 5 spoke Mille rims), lots of other misc mods, body mods, and one off pieces all by me. Only thing I'm not doing is painting (this time around) as I really do hate paint and bodywork.

Here is a link to my build log:

and a couple preview images

Oh how I love the Target Katana's. I own an 82 750 Katana in sorry but re-buildable condition.
The project is stalled for now,due to financial issues.
I realy like what you've done to yours.
And if you still have the 1100 lump that came out of it and it's in fair condition,I know someone in Vancouver Canada that would probably buy it from you.

Stopped by my painter this afternoon to check out and approve final bodywork prior to him starting the actual painting. Mainly he was going to even out the gap around the vortex fuel cap base as the gsxr filler I transplanted had a decent and slightly uneven gap from the factory.

I think Robert did a killer job of reducing it and evening it out. Tank looks rough as it has a primer and guide coat on it and still requires the final block sanding but I approve and the applying of color should start this weekend.

Here is how the tank started out life....

And here it is as of today....

Update...got my second set of motor mounts back from the powder coaters and got them installed. Installing Dale Walker Holeshot stage II jetting this weekend and getting the wiring routed before the bodywork comes back.

Also...what does this have to do with my katana?

Well that would be the color of the silver...2001 Ferrari Alpine Silver metalic...picked the colors a few days ago...never knew there was so many silvers to choose from. Most of the bikes my painter does are high end Italian jobs so naturally this was one of the colors he had in stock. Looks great in person! Not long now (I hope)!!!
