2 years, all built from the ground up. I know its not quite a fighter, but it sure is fighting the factory. You can buy these style of rigs, made in Germany, for about $10k. I have only about $2k into both the bike and the hack. I have a steering dampener to add at some point, but otherwise this project is DONE.:rock:

You pretty much have to engineer a mount. Here is a build thread on advrider, I think it has some pics that should shed some light on it for you. http://advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?p=21750382#post21750382

I brought down some 3/8" x 2" flat bar from each side of the front frame rails, then mounted a tube from them straight under the bike and anchored it to the center stand mount of the bike at the back.

Actually here is a shot of the subframe before I put that rear center stand portion of the mount on it.
