Hi

can i take apart and do the seals on my stock forks with out any special tool. Its a 97 600 srad.

The srad were rsu forks right? Think you need a pair of snap ring pliers and some way to install the new seal. I used a piece of pvc pipe to install mine on my forks.

I have some snap ring pliers in my box and going to by some pvc pipe.
i my able to get 10w hydrolic oil at my work. The main problem is i am going work on them out side as no shed ect so going to pray its dry at the end of week.

I've worked on a set of these. No big surprises, just the usual stuff. Count the turns on your damper screws and make sure you put them back right. You will need a good set of open wrenches as ISTR it was two of the same size to release the damper rod (could be wrong though) and then there's the usual bastard job of getting the bottom Allen bolt out, an impact gun is by far best for that.
