Its in progress like anything

Original

Most Recent.

I had to put the old headlight unit back on because the little round one blew out. Thats what I get for using a 72' headlight;)

More to come as the snow flies and the garage empties.

Get the exhaust hacked up and mounted different, with some cut down slip ons kinda like a Monster Sr4. I have an angle grinder so the chopping part is easy, have to borrow a welder. Find some cheap dual round lights instead of the one small round I had. Braided brake and clutch lines, try and see if a magna rear wheel and swinger will gronk to the shaft and get a rear disc brake in the process. Remove center stand.

Get a flatter one piece bar and ditch the scarry adjustable stocker. Firm up the suspension with Racetech .9 kg springs and cartridge emulators, maybe track down some ZRX rear shocks. I wanted to get some pod filters on there to go with the exhaust mods, but I don't think there is enough room from the carbs to the frame.

Maybe redo the paint again, or pony up and try doing some wet lay-up carbon fiber panels and fenders. Have to do that across the street my garage is wood heat and poorly insulated. I know a guy that can do powder coating for cheap, get the wheels some obnoixious color to offset the green and black.

Get really dumb and blow it all to hell with the T25 and bit I have laying around, but its criminally fast for the torn up roads up here, I want it to handle better and look meaner.

The top of the state, Copper Harbor, MI that chunk of land that sticks out into Lake Superior, thats me out on the end of it, dodging RVs and deer at 80mph.:D

I might if I can find cheap, but the shaft drive complicates things, or does it? I'm still new to the bike modding and don't know what would mesh with it. I suppose I could get a, crap what was it 95ish CBR900 front end that still had a 16" wheel, which would match the rear or figure out a way to get a 17 on the rear with a 929 front.

Its a long winter up here so I'll have the time to figure it out. Or I can wait till my friends brother blows up his 954 and pillage the hell out of it:LolLolLolLol:

I would have liked to have kept it stock, but I neglected it for two year and the paint, stickers, and what-not were coming off and the tank was rusting bad, the paint was a saving measure. Now its snowballing.

Been a while. updates. Not much work mostly dissasembely

Its still my plan o do what I posted earlier, just poorer than funk at the moment. I like the OD color, and want to mount up a SM kinda front fender, and some big toothy MX footpegs. I want a Acerbis with the one big light for the front.

I still dont know about the rear and seat, I'll probably keep both of the stock ones for now. I need it rideable for the spring as a good friend invited me down to the Dragon in May. Hes a stage fellow with a turbo ZX-12 that he takes to the track.

I'm trying to find if adjustable levers will fit somehow as the stock ones are a really long reach for me. That and I bent the front brake llever doing burnouts during my end of season the tires are toast anyway might as well have fun new ritual. More to come as I find more time in the garage as the wife and kid go back to school. Horay for being an unemployed house bitch:party-smiley:

On a good note. Since we made nothing this year our tax return will be a fat one. Wife has allowed $1000 for me bike.:) I love her!

If you need some welding done let me know and ill talk to my old man and get you guys in contact with eachother. He has metal working stuff, and im sure he would help ya out, like I said, if you have an idea toss it off me, and ill run it by him and see what he says...If i was back home you could do whatever for the cost of materials, however that isnt the case, just food for thought.

It still looks like the last pic minus the bars and front fender, Firefighter classes ate up most of my free time this winter. Any time i was out in the garage i've spent tearing down the old Superhawk in the background. No money for parts so no headway.

But my tax return has come and my new welder is on the way, so progress shall be made. And free time is in abundance now that classes are almost done and my hours at work are getting cut back do to the slow season.

I'm thinking of making it yellow, like a 599. and putting 696 on it somewhere as thats the real displacement, Ducati copied my idea.

Its the stock one. I'm looking to get just a shift light and something to give mph like a bike speedo or something.

I got my welder today, I need some less rusty scrap to practice on, I'm hitting up a few machine shops tomorrow for scrap. But I'm so pumped.

I hung a couple round driving lights, al a speed trip, but I don't like the look, so I'm hunting for a single big round. One bigger than the one in the pic so meh at teh moment.
