So like the title says 87 cbr600 woes... My rear rotor is almost entirely grooved out and my fronts are on the way out... I decided I need new brakes seeing as I locked my rear brake trying to slow down for a corner and road right off the road  Decided I need new brakes. The problem is I'm a broke farm hand and I've considered trying to swap to newer brake systems front and rear for safety's sake and for $$$ reasons. I've got 37mm clip on forks is what I read from a sticky if that helps. I know the vfr 750 forks are the same size already if anyone knows how they perform. If anyone knows anything equal performance or better I could swap in it might save my life... And my bank.

Have you thought about flushing the brake fluid completely and getting new EBC HH pads? (I would also replace the rotors.)

Pads:

Rotors:

Or you can upgrade to later CBR forks, I don't see why the above wouldn't fix the problem with the bike though.

That will take some more work unless you want to get a newer wheel with it too.

I don't think any 37mm forks will give you any increased performance than the ones on your bike and if you are going to swap the front end, it is worth it to upgrade for the costs.
