I picked up a used 88 gsxr motor for dirt cheap and the signal generator bolt is stripped and I need to get it off to remove the crank. How do I get that off, to split the case? Is it right hand threaded? Suggestions?

I'm assuming the head is stripped not allowing a wrench to grasp the fastener.

If you are confident that the fastener is NOT threadlocked in place, grind the head off and work the bolt out later.

If it may be thread locked, grind or file a new set of wrench flats or weld a healthy nut on to the existing bolt.

Use heat if it's really stuck on. Heat the part, not the bolt directly. You don't want to heat/expand the bolt and make it any tighter.
