There's the Trailtech range:
http://trailtech.net/computers.html
May be able to find them cheaper elsewhere, I think ebay was the cheapest I found.

Then there's the Acewell range, available from ebay, http://www.motostrano.com/speedometers.html, and https://www.bajadesigns.com/NET/C-407/ACEWELL. There may be other places to get them, you'll have to research. I'm afraid you'll never get them as cheap as they used to be. I picked up mine for $180 AUD from Electrosport. Electrosport then changed hands and stopped selling Acewell. Now the gauge I bought is over $200 USD!

Then of course there is a few from the Koso range: http://www.kosonorthamerica.com/
I found the cheapest place (for me, being in Australia) was this site: http://www.superbiketoystore.com/sport/index.php?searchStr=koso&_a=viewCat
They will try to price match, which leads me onto the site that may be best for you:
http://www.sip-scootershop.com/main...co,ape,lam,old,px,sma,max,atv,mot)&a=1&sort=0
Now that place was like $50 cheaper for the gauges, but the shipping to Aus was a killer. I believe shipping to the US was cheaper (assuming you are in the US)

Then there's these gauges from a fella on ebay:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Digi...220532302616?pt=Motorcycles_Parts_Accessories
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Digi...230505524242?pt=Motorcycles_Parts_Accessories (only for 17" wheels)

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Digi...220540901027?pt=Motorcycles_Parts_Accessories

There's also the Veypor gauges:

Cheapest I've found them is on ebay. The basic model would be slightly over your budget by $16 though.

Umm, that's pretty much all I can think of for now.

Which Koso look alike, the one I linked above? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Digi...230505524242?pt=Motorcycles_Parts_Accessories
As I said before, they're apparently locked for a 17" wheel, meaning there is no way to adjust the wheel size. Even if you have a 17" wheel, it's not gauranteed to give an accurate speed reading. It could be for a different profile 17" than yours....
Anyhow, if you are still interested in trying it, there's another ebay dude selling them at half that cost:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=110565317862&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT
His engrish is terrible though, so I suggest if you want any questions answered about the gauge, ask the guy from the first link, then buy from the second.....
As for hooking them up, I would guess they would come with an installation manual, but whether you can decode it into a usuable form of engrish is another story!

idk i bet there is some way to change it from 17" wheels, if not wonder if it will affect it that much, like 1 or 2 mph is no big deal. 5 to 10 then yea, i figure for 55 bucks ill try it and if not then ill just resell it on ebay or craigslist. thanks for finding that link too!

If it is always 5-10 over, you will go slower around cops.
