Some cool shit, still a bit heavy, but much better.
I'd really miss the sound though. That is the largest rear sprocket I've ever seen, :LolLolLolLol:

I'm serious though, I'd be all about an electric bike. As long as it's got a nice powerband, weighs less than 400 pounds, aggressive suspension, and has at least a 1:4 power/weight ratio.

The powerband thing is pretty inherent in an electric engine.

^same here, been researching conversions for a bit now. Electric motors make HUGE torque and are relatively tiny. The motor that drives the Tesla electric sports car puts out 200 lb/ft of torque between 0 and 6000 rpm, and a peak of 250hp at 8000rpm. not to mention wayyy less parasitic and drivetrain losses compared to internal combustion. And the thing is less than 70 lb!
