I have now made a combo, tank riser. I decided to upgrade from using zinc coated steel, where I had to cut off the heads, drill for the clip, and then coat with rubber to keep away corrosion, to stainless steel threaded rods. They even have a 3mm countersunk allen head, to install. The risers themselves are 14mm. I have seen other risers out there, varying from 1/2" to 16 or 17 mm, but decided that 14 mm was a good number, high enough to be effective, but not too high to put undue stress on the front tank mounts. The risers themselves are made from 6061 aluminum.
I also have shorter bolts, for the cases where you would like to install these risers with out using a quick release kit..or, if you wish to install a steering damper that utilizes the tank mounts.
Of course, the standard quick release kits I make are still available....in either standard size, or if you already have non threaded tank risers.
