Anyone use APE CCT's? Worth the money? After hearing the horror stories about the stock CCT on my bike I've been thinking of replacing it with the APE CCT just in case......Anyone else run a gixxer 1100 with an aftermarket CCT?

First runs of bikes engines always have cam chain tensioner problems... It's weird. (those that have them that is )

Never used aftermarkets personally.

F2's also have issues with the CCT, supposedly the gorilla manual CCT does a good job at stopping the rattle.

I run them on everything! It is the first piece that I replace when I get a bike.

Ya I've got that notorious "rattle" but the 1100 zuks are noisy as it is....just trying to cut down on it....hopefully this helps a bit.

WHAT??? If you can't find a deal on Ebay go through APE directly!! Even through them it's $53 plus shipping, never pay retail!!

CdnStreetfighter, I think you probably got yours through who I usually get mine through on Ebay. Great guy but it takes forever to get them. make sure you don't need them for a month ahead of time

We get ours through a Canadian supplier...but I can't remember their name right now...I'll check next week to see if prices came down, but that's what I was paying last year before I went to school (CDN mind you, but still)

Yeah I ordered mine right from APE last year in a pinch! I had to have it overnighted for a Saturday delivery and it still didn't cost me over $100

ok, so I got it, now how the fuck am I supposed to know if its adjusted right? The instructions say to turn the engine over...by hand?....start it?....WTF? To those who have adjusted these, whats the procedure after installation?
