Nice! That shits sick!
ask Chris "teach" Mcneil about that one :rock:noobieman said:I bet someday, there will be a motorcycle sport similar to car drifting, that would be some insane action!
Really? I just think it would be sick to go to a competition specifically for that, to watch dudes slide around a track as gracefuly as they can. That would be so sick!929_adam said:ask Chris "teach" Mcneil about that one
agreed. that would be fun to do as well! :rock:noobieman said:Really? I just think it would be sick to go to a competition specifically for that, to watch dudes slide around a track as gracefuly as they can. That would be so sick!
hells yea, that shit would be ILL!!! Scary as hell, but ill! I'm guessing, that sort of thing, almost happens by mistake the first time... you push slightly too hard through a turn, you start slipping a little at the rear, and although its the scariest most intense moment you've experienced in a long time, you are somehow able to keep control through the turn, and then you realize what you just did, and go "HOLY SHIT! THAT WAS FREAKING AWESOME!!!!!" And go do it again...gixxershane said:i wish that i could ride like that:rock:
I would love to be able to do it, but I would never try to! :LolLolLolLol:ab420 said:hells yea, that shit would be ILL!!! Scary as hell, but ill! That's the ONLY way I could see me learning to do that shit. For some reason, I just can't picture me heading out there to "try and learn to do that," ya know?
Speedway is severe! If you mess up, even the tiniest bit, for even a half a second.....you lose! NO room for error! Very cool!spartanrider said:Slowing the clip down it looks like he crosses up the front like a speedway bike. Every turn in speedway racing is throttle, handlebar, and weight. No brakes,no transmission. That said there is no way I would ride a 500cc,methanol fueled,180lb. bike to learn to do this. But then again I'm getting old.
Definitely the COOLEST way around a corner imo! (Except in a race obv)929_adam said:he jammed on the rear brake...to make it slip out sideways..then powerd it up to get wheel spin on the exit of the turn.
not the fastest way thru a corner. but it looks nice!
Funnily enough, speedway is exactly where Gary McCoy started racing.spartanrider said:Slowing the clip down it looks like he crosses up the front like a speedway bike. Yea, that stuff is cool.... but I want to see some dudes on MotoGP bikes hanging it sideways at 130! :rock:addilack said:There is a sport pretty close to that and its been around for ever.... Dirttrack racing weither it be 1/2 mile or shorttrack its all a controlled drift. You should see if there is a race in your area and go check it out and look at the skill of the younger riders.
DAMN! Thats sick, 14 years old! I'm sure he doesn't ever have time for it, but see if ya can get him to join up if he ever gets some free time! :cfcartman:addilack said:go to a 1/2 mile and watch jonny murphy, chris carr any of those guys 100mph+ then sidewayz, its a rush to watch and do. I know its one thing to do it on a bike but I do it on a quad not a 100+ but 60-70 or so and its a blast. A good friend of mine has risen threw the ranks from 60s to up to a 250f honda now, and he is now backed by Honda with full support, riding everything from flattrack to supermoto and just got into the AMAs lower leagues of sportbike racing and hes only 14 and making a name for himself.
