i have a 02 bandit 12. i bought a r6 throttle tube (http://www.ebay.com/itm/Motion-Pro-...Parts_Accessories&hash=item3f27d5e156&vxp=mtr) for a shorter turn.

this is compatible correct?

apparently it's a common mod with the r1 and r6 tube. just want to make sure the year of the tube doesnt matter.

i already bought it, so i guess i'll find out when i get it lol

Yeah as long as its the same diameter as the stick tube. Which it prolly is 7/8 for both of em. So throw er on and check.

yeah but its not much, it prevents you from having to pick your hand up and move it to hit WOT

you can make it a half turn very very easy. i did it when i had my bandit.

well i'm not impressed, the pull is shorter but ever so slightly. i dont know if i got the wrong r6 tube or not.

the stock bandit one i pulled off was almost 34mm, the motion pro r6 pn: 01-0094 for a 03-05 r6 was almost 37mm

this is more the size of the of the r1 tube.

the correct r6 tube is supposed to be 40mm. bandit- 1/4 turn, r1- 1/5 turn, r6 1/6 turn. good news is it went right in with no modification and the stock bandit grip fit. also it was only $11 shipped, so i'm going to order the correct one now that i know it's part number which is: Part: 2CO-26240-00. This number is what was on the yamaha part label on the bag the tube came in. Some people in the USA are saying their # is 2C0-26240-00-00 (extra 00).

this one will need modification to fit, r1 does not. read thread
