I'm kinda into the Japanese home market bikes.....(OK, I love two strokes...!!!)....probably because we were never able to have them here in our country (always want what your not supposed to have)
We got GS1000's when they could only have GS750's, and they got Z1 750's when ours were the full bore and stroke 900's...back in the 70's. We got the big bikes, they could only have the small ones.
So today, all our used big bore bikes are going back to Japan, and all their small bikes I wish would come here.

What we could never have... These could all be cool streetfighter material in some form.

Those YSR 50's were sold in the US for at least a few years- I see them pop up on craigslist every so often. Rare, but not unheard of.

Don't think the US got the GSX1400 ?

A bit like the CB1300 and XJR but much nicer.

Classic muscle bike retro styling, only about 100hp but it can
be tweaked up to 120 130, but huge amounts of grunt.

Great bikes.

I think the US only got the 2008 model B-King in either Black or Black and Silver.

A lot of the world also got a 2010 model, same bike, different paint and gold wheels.

Yea, big bikes as well as small for many, many years have been kept from us here.
I've been wanting an XJR ever since they first came out back in the 90's...Can't believe as popular as they were everywhere else, Yamaha USA didn't think they would sell...?...yet they have been on the market now for 20 years....
I love that FJ motor....

I've seen a MT-01 precisely 01 times in the US, and it was at Americade, and it had an Ontario tag on it. Sold everywhere but the US. Cool looking bikes, but Yamaha v-twins to me have all the personality of a lawnmower and are about as fun to drive.

Now Yamaha announced we're not getting the new MT-10 either, at least not next year despite finally putting the FZ1 out to pasture, which seemed to be a sure sign a new replacement was on it's way.

Only Yamaha makes a bike, won't update it for roughly 46 years, discontinues it, unveils a new model, then won't sell it to people that are literally begging to buy one.
