took in this 96 blackbird on a trade against my blade fighter
sold all the bodywork and have now started building a streetfighter from it
bike itself is mint with a high spec motor
just fitted a german seat unit today both cans will be turned up as photo shows
(this pic of pipes was a mock up new link pipes are being made)
does anyone on here know where i could get a set of infill panels from tank to frame
(not the standard ones)
light will be 2 7" cibie oscars

If ye get in touch with them and they have a stand at Fighterama as they had on previous years and want a set picked up give me a shout and i'll collect them for ye .

Awesome bike those stoke fairings look decent!

heres some pics of the sub frame after being welded and fitted to the bike
we used the original undertray so very little wiring had to be moved
also we had to move the regulator rectifier from outside the subframe to inside it
seat unit then fits over it tightly

bike is now coming together abit
still waiting for my link pipes to be made (hopefully this week)
tank infill panels should also be here this week from gemo fighters
headlights now fitted, two 7" cibie oscars
should have great lights now
will change for a german mask in the spring
but i need good lights for the winter as this bike is going to be used alot
got a blackbird seat yesterday and carved it up to fit german tail piece
need to carve a small bit more and then off to be recovered
not sure yet about clocks may go with sat nav
then all it needs is a nice coat of black paint

liking whats happening so far, love the big lights, but..(there's always a but)

The front end, forks, they look too skinny. The rest of the bike is big and muscular, but the forks are tiny, plus the front mudgaurd is HUGE!

The bike also looks very tall at the front, could you drop the yokes down the forks a bit? This would maybe give it a more aggresive stance.

Or is it just me..

thanks for the comments
front end is 3" taller than standard
but wont look out of place when the 2 stack pipes (exhausts) go on the back
but this height suits me perfect
have zx9r coming in so i may use the usd front end off it
but usually i prefer to use original front end

bike is almost ready for paint but im thinking of changing the headlights for a buell 1125cr headlight or maybe a b-king headlight has anyone out there got 1 or what do ye think
