Howdy boys and squirrels. I have an idea that I am sure others have had. But the difference I am seeing in my particular idea is my platform. I have a 1981 Honda CB750C that I originally bobbed and put monkey bars on. However, I have only ridden sport and dirt bikes, so turning with said bars is nerve wracking.
So heres the idea. Take my bike, make it a streetfighter. The bike (for those who may not know) has an inline 4 DOHC motor. Its also a fairly light bike, so I shouldn't have any issues as far as that goes. The basic idea, and the most immediate, is chop the tail the rest of the way off, install a newer model sport bike subframe, café style bars, rearsets and a custom headlight. The more advanced and farther down the road idea involves swapping out the front end to something like an R1 as well as the swingarm to something a bit more modern. With the swingarm swap, I will have to rig a jackshaft up to adjust for the wider tire clearance.
I have the basic idea, but I want some feedback from you guys. A lot of you have a lot more experience in this field and theres a chance I am overlooking something.
This is what the bike currently looks like:

Any help, suggestions, ideas or the like would be appreciated.
