Funny story, kinda related...

I was doing a job at an engineer's house. He was in the kitchen for 45 minutes applying three stick on numbers to his new mailbox. After he "finished" he saw me and asked, "Do those numbers look straight to you?" To which I replied, "Well... I think that. Sure they seem pretty straight from here." :D

The LSL Headlight and the Motogadget stuff have been attached. All works fine!

Here is the wire harness under the headlight

And here is the result

What'd you do with the ignition?

Edit:
Nevermind, I'm stupid. The m-lock took care of that.

After painful long trip experiences I decided to create highway foot pegs.

The initial idea was to use the passenger foot pegs and attach them to the engine with brackets

I created the CAD model and part drawings

Then I gave the CAD files to the local machine shop to produce them, but the price the machine shop guys gave me was too high. So I decided to make the food pegs brackets flat from standard 1/4" aluminum plate and gave the new files to the local water jet shop

I decided to use Ryca Motors universal foot pegs with the brackets

Then I bought the exhaust pipe heat shield to protect my legs. The heat shield is from "Buell comfort kit". Here is the heat shield and the bracket templates

Here are the brackets from the water jet shop

I ordered the screws and the spacers from MCMaster Carr.

Then I painted the brackets with VHT promer and VHT black paint.

I sandpapered it and clean with acetone

I masked the holes

Then I painted it with a couple layers of VHT primer and a couple layers of VHT black paint and dried it with heat gun

I soaked the screws in acetone and assembled the foot pegs with loctite

Then I installed them on the motorcycle

Done!

Additional information about the highway foot pegs you can find here http://www.buellxb.com/forum/showthread.php?49489-Highway-foot-pegs

Very nice man! I agree with F'dup that they look super clean on the bike.

How do they feel when you ride now?
