I have a 1985 FJ1100 and it has a full Vance and Hines exhaust setup on it. Its a super nice setup, sounds great and looks good. I was curious to know if maybe like 2 or 3 inches could be cut out without ruining the muffler or making it to loud. Anyone ever cut down a Vance and Hines before to know?

That shows the exhaust some but its hard to see exactly, but yes it looks rivited. If I cut it down will I have to take out all the baffles or what? I have no idea what it looks like inside this thing.

One issue I just thought of is because mine was a full header and exhaust setup mine is wielded onto the headers so I am sure that will make my life a lot harder on this project.

If you look at the pipe on my build thread it's a Vance Hines that I shortened. Mine was not riveted but had Allen heads holding it together. All baffles are currently nonexistent as well as packing. Sounds fucking rotten tho
