Hi all, i wanna do a Single Side Swingarm swap to my CBR 600 Hurricane, but the only SSS i can find is from VFR 400 or from NT 400 (Honda BROS, or HAWK in some countries). Has anyone have done that? Can the 400 SSS handle the extra power of the 600 or it will bend or something? Thanx
The bros arm has a non linkage shock connection so the least you'd probably need is a custom shock or spring. The VFR uses a linkage but no clue how it looks or if it'll work on a cbr600. Both bikes have a narrower engine than the Cbr so it should be safe to fit between the frame rails with ease.
Have you thought about a cbr400 nc23 or nc29 swingarm? Those use the same engine cases as an early 600, so you're a safe bet it'll fit between the frame rails plus the linkage arrangement is pretty similar looking. Not single sided but those are some great looking parts.
Thanx for the replies. Yes the cbr 400 is the next on my list.... Specially the gull arm!
