its a 97, and am quite sick of seeing all bikes look factory the same.
seen street fighters, and would love to build one.

1: i want my tail gone, ive heard it makes it uncomfortable to hard tail (like bladerod style)
true/false??

2: any reliable sites for parts? its hard finding things for a cbr 900.
ex: persay wanting to go for a motor rebuild. i cant find shitttt
or would i be better off just swapping?

thanks!! sorry no pix up, new to site.

"Hardtail" refers to having no rear suspension, not that you removed or changed the tail section. Yes a hardtail bike is "uncomfortable" in the sense that ramming your cock into a toaster would be uncomfortable. It also ruins stability and handling. Reshaping or reducing the tail/subframe is a fairly common fighter mod and should not have any effects on the ride.

As for parts there's several large bike salvage yards that list things on ebay, though prices tend to be rather high. Keep an eye out on local classifieds for a wrecked or basket case one you can buy for parts, this is almost always the cheapest way if you can find one.

You might check out fireblades.org. Bike specific forums can be a gold mine for vendors and used parts.
