Ok, so I have been looking for some bar end mirrors for my project bike. I like the CRG and Oberon's, but they are too damn expensive for what they are....damn mirrors. Several people have told me to get some third eye bicycle mirrors and use them...but I am really currious as to how well they hold up, especially when it come to vibration from the bike?

Ideas, suggestions?

not quite sure if this is "cheap" but its interesting i found it on a supermoto forum i visit regularly , might consider it on my bike too

those are pretty cool s.saurus! im assuming they use some rubbers in there to damp out vibration. looks good enough... gotta love the hose clamp bar mount!

I got a funny set...they velcro around the grip...the left one works really well, but the right one moves when you give the bike throttle lol, oh well, makes the popo happy! They were $20 CDN for the set

I bought them so I could have a mirror on the street but not worry about busting it stunting.

So far I've been using the "rotating head" style mirrors..Although they work I do find the bike tends wander in the direction of rotation towards ditches or other riders so I wouldn't suggest 'em........I'm watching this thread for some new ideas.

Same here.....the mirrors on the Hellcat are what I'm looking for.....I just can't find them anywhere......

I cant say enough good things about the CRG's they work they dont shake and you can see out of them at high speed, cheepos work if you dont really wanna see, but really seeing is quite handy.

Here in Canada theres a shop called canadian tire, they are selling rear veiw camera's and a two inch lcd monitor for 149bucks, Im gonna install on on my bike fersure.

That one kinda looks like a normal barend mirror that tey just choose to mount inboard? I wonder how it would work if mounted as a bar end unit.

id say the cheapest is a cat eye convex mirror, for bicycles

i took it apart, drilled a small hole in my bar end, filled with epoxy, stuck the stem of the mirror inside the hole

less than $10

Not the cheapest, but I picked up a set of these on ebay for about $50. Very good deal imo.

i found some 17$ bar end mirrors. but im reluctant to tell you about them.

they basically suck. strictly to pass inspection.

they are a circle type bar end mirror. the bracket is a plastic half circle that fits around your bars, and is fastend and tightend by a velcro strap.

The left side works alright, but like I said, the right side is useless...twist the grip, no more mirror lol. They work for the most part, but you pay for $15 mirrors, you get $15 mirrors...

I have one of these on both my bikes (I rig a Neopolean on to pass inspection) and they work really good. They take a little modifying to adapt them to onto a motorcycle, but they are sleek looking, and if you tighten them down they don't move. On my 600 they'll only fold back a little if I top it out at 140 or so.

I've only seen them in Canada, but theres a bicycle shop near my inlaws that has them, so I just pick one up when I pass through.

I scored some free third eye mirrors from a buddy. I'll see how they work out.
