So as requested, the conversion of my GSF 600 N built in 97 type GN77B.For the few of you, how the good piece looked originally, here is another picture:
Bandit gn77 original.jpg

I quickly realized that I can't and don't want to drive around like this. The whole thing didn't get much better with the English newspaper "Streetfighter" and later with the German newspaper "Fighters". Every time the urge came through: "I want something like that too !!!!!!!!" But in my time when I served in the army for 4 years there was never enough time to do a lot on the bike. But in 1999 the first minor conversion was already finished: MOKO rear, wider tires, paintwork and other handlebars were a start.

It was enough to drive around like that at first.

At some point the popular mask from "Powerbronze" was added and the paintwork changed towards design like the MOKO rear at M OKO was in the catalog

148427

By chance I later got my up side down fork cheaply.
148428

So I was able to drive around first because the tires got even wider. And it was finally fun. Front 120/70 and rear 190/50 and the chassis was worlds different.

But just driving is not possible. The market was and is full of ideas that I really like. You could also get another motorcycle to tinker with. Yes who doesn't know that?!?!

So it was dismantled again and some things were changed. You slowly started to design your own stuff. Furthermore, attempts were made to clean up sloppiness from the early days. It is known to start building towards optical quality. Which didn't quite work out.
148434

the installation of a DYNA 200 was added

148435

The aluminum swing arm of a GSF 1200 took its new place of work
148436

There had to be a new disguise
148437

A 750ccm engine should go in, because 78 HP wasn't enough !!!!!!!!! With neatly adapted GSXR 1100 manifold
148438

Then the speedometer had to be in the tank !!!!!!!!!!!
148439

Shit idea !!!!!!!!!!!!

148440

Never again !!!!!!! You can't see anything !!!! Nothing!!!!!!
148441

And then a new paint also had to be

Before I take the whole motorcycle apart, I looked at a few points on the rear that I want to change. Without the lower paneling, you could see that the MOKO bench was not positioned correctly
everywhere.
148454

So far I have not noticed that the rear in the middle of the rear frame was not at all.
148455

However, the stern is of very good quality and very stable. Apparently it was therefore never noticed. And the point should no longer be screwable, but firmly welded to the rear.

Furthermore, I really want to have a GSXR 1100 fuel tank. For me personally it is one of the most beautiful fuel tanks.
Adjusting to the lines of the frame will probably be the problem. This fuel tank has been used many times on the Bandits, but not always nicely implemented.
148458

I have already completely stripped the paint from the fuel tank at our company. You won't have any problems with welding later.

148459

I hope that I can achieve a perfect implementation.

The installation of a GSXR 1000 K1-K4 swing arm is planned. Actually, my heart beats for a single-sided swingarm, but during the conversion I forgot to change the upper bracket of the shock absorber. Well it just happens. It would be even better to install a Benelli TNT swing arm because it looks very good with the Bandit, as the frame is made of round tube and so is the swing arm. But these Benelli wings cost a pig's money !!!!!!!!!
In addition, the fork should be covered with cover tubes. The rear should no longer be screwed on like the original, but rather be removable with a kind of quick release.

148466

Reparieren oder neu, das war die Frage.

So get down with the cylinder.

148470

But that doesn't look like an optimal engine run.

When I looked at the cylinder liners, I thought there was a piston jamming at first.
148471

But no !!! Material defect in the liner.
Also good, so cylinder is junk. A new one is needed.

A good start.

So first started to dismantle the whole gearbox. Preferably with a system.
148473

Very beautiful. Everything where it should go.

148474

And what do I do with the ugly oil downpipes ???

148475

Preferably chrome plating. Would look good. But with the grate ???? I will try to build some myself out of stainless steel and then polish the pipes. Good plan!!!!

So first turned the connecting pieces for the O-rings with the lathe.

148476

The whole thing 4 times, of course.

148477

Then the connecting pipe on the rotating part.

148478

The phase is used for a smooth transition.

148479

Then I asked my boss if he had 4 stainless steel arches for me.

148480

And then another small piece of pipe to connect the arches.

148481

So far so good. Now align everything and then weld everything.

148482

Looks like original or what do you think about it ??????

Well if you already have 2 defective cylinder banks, you can make a whole out of them. Since I have to remove the liners from the cylinder, I will immediately put the liners and the gearbox with "windows"
148497
148498
148499
148501

Then renew the cross-cut with the honing brush.
148500

The 4 best pistons were then selected and renewed.
