i think freestyle ingenuity cages look the best. most edgy and sharp looking.

or you could just get some LONG extended frame sliders and some crash proof engine covers.

my boy has one one his gixxer one thou...and lets just say... IT HOLDS UP! bikes been dropped, knocked over, and even run over by a car...literally.
he defintely stands by his 905.

however my 929 was flipped, not once..but twice and low sided at 80 with a F.I. cage and that held up for all that as well.

and id vouch for that!

I had an FI cage on my gsxr, it was great. Never saw any serious abuse but I liked that it didn't interfere with me knees, and the loop was removable for mountain runs and track days. Leaving extended sliders on in the process (which saved my bike at a track day). I picked it up from a chick on stuntlife...she bought it for her boyfriend, caught him cheating, so she went home, yanked it off the bike and sold it to me for $100 shipped lol.

I do like the 905 style cages.. The one for the F4i and 600rr honestly take some abuse but doesnt hold up as well as the other style 905 cages like this one..

F4i and 600rr style

Better style

The style shown on the Yamaha has more stable point of strength for impact and will hold itself tight without a chance of bending. Ive seen a 905 cage on my buddys F4i get destroid from 1 drop. The only over all problem with 905 cages are that (and Ive seen this first hand with about 8-9 cages) is that if you have them on a bike that your ride on the street everyday, they WILL crack eventually someplace without dropping them. This being said because the constant vibration from the road, the engine, and constant flexing from turning over time with break the cage.

I like powers cages because Ive seen them take alot of abuse and hold up well for the most part, but who wants a jungle gym strapped to there bike.

Freestyle Ingenuity is a very strong cage. The design of it was meant not to "take a hard hit and hold tight". But to take a very hard hit and flex, bend, and distribute the force threwout the whole cage. They work very well and I do have video of my friend Aaron's F4i commin down from 12 o'clock REAL HARD, and the bike actually hitting just the cage and bouncing 2 feet in the air and landing back on the cage itself.. Nothing broke The only bad part about FI cages is sometimes there a BITCH to put on. I dont care which way you look at it, either there really easy to throw on or you need 2 extra set's of hands to get it to bolt together right.

Id go with an FI cage, there not huge, they dont tak up alot of space, they look decent and they sell at a good price too. But bring a friend with you to put it on lol

agreed about the 905's cracking. mine is cracked in the middle of the upper tube on the right side. the cage has never hit the ground on that side, only the left a few times.

it's also got quite a bit less ground clearance than a powers for street riding. i've lifted my back tire mid corner a few times from the cage hitting the ground unexpectedly.

hmm the FI cages looks pretty nice, but is there problem with ground clearance while leaning?, they say extended sliders does that mean i cant use my current slider? i really like the LSL sliders hehe
oh ya just to add my type of rididng : not heavy stunter... only thing i will and ever did was probably just wheelies. Other than that i just ride to commute, bike trips, and twisties.
