no deals, it was like $319 for the kit. I love the look of the adapters, and I'm excited about the ss brake lines. everybody seems to hate those bars though, how come? Everyone seems to say they are too wide, can they be cut down at all?I have never had anything other than clipons, so I dont know what I like...

have you sat on it with the bars like that?? what do you think... doesnt matter what anyone else thinks, its wether or not your comfortable.

nice to see some progress. OMFG looks like your exhaust is gonna need some TLC its got rust barnacles growing on it. hahaha.

we have one of those frames at my work, if you decide you wanna go crazy and hack up the subframe or something and want an extra.

also, did you build a stand/ramp for your bike so its higher when your working on it?? that looks like a decent setup there. gets ya up off the ground a little at least!

alot nicer than that big dorky thing honda stuck on there 10 years ago (damn, now its officially 10 years old...). I may end up sticking that manifold in the sandblaster with a garbage bag taped over the door(blasters too small for the whole thing).

its my girlfriends virago 250. she just got into riding and sportbikes scare her, plus she can just barely touch the ground with her toes on my bike. its a funny little bike. every time I ride the damn thing I miss the pegs with my feet on the first try cuz they're so far forward, not used to that position anymore. but its so light, I just have to think about leaning and it goes. but tis got frilly girly shit all over it:mad: so I dont ride it very often. mostly when my bike is apart just so I can get my fix

9 cans of brake cleaner. I just masked everything off, didnt feel like taking the covers off, and scraping the gaskets. I just hope I got it clean enough that the paint stays on...

I sent the frame off to a welder for the attachment (I cant weld, and I didnt want it to fell off). he did a great job, I posted a closeup of the weld. I should probably not throw my girlfriend on the back anymore, right?

is it just the lower mounts, or did you tie the upper in too? if it's just the lower half, then no, i wouldn't put anyone on the back

yeah, i left alot of the stock f3 upper rail in place and tied the gsxr to it. i was building the bike to sell at a shop, so i had to make it every bit as streetable as stock.

that seems like a very small bracket to be under so much stress all the time......I think I would of made an upper bracket brace also.
