The last set of Schwalbes I bought were the same price per as my truck. Ridiculous, but oh so nice
I'm still a Maxxis and Continental fan though
Ha! Good spot. Fully floating 180 from memory! They're off my my old 26" Winter ride MTB that's currently waiting for me to weld up cracks in the swingarm... Love the Panaracers tho' bit old school but theyre a great all rounder and half the price of the Schwalbe's on the posh rig....
Looking good. Whats the inside like? Betting it's pretty goodTried some moto pie cuts on Saturday.

Nope.@Smoker I really like your progress! Any prior welding experience with a stick / mig?
Welding 122 is second in a series of occupational welding courses designed to prepare the student for employment in the welding industry. It covers fundamentals of blueprint reading, interpreting shop drawings and sketches, advanced metallic arc and oxyacetylene welding and provides an introduction to tungsten inert gas and metal inert gas arc welding.WTF is that last picture?
Hey smoker thats pretty good. You should be well pleased with that. I've seen a lot worse (lack of penetration voids pits excessive material flow etc etc etc) from (some) guys who do weld stuff for a living. Keep practicing. I've just had a nasty shock over the price of sheild gas so keep using the college supplies for as long as you can!The problem is, I don't know what it should look like.
For tubes that flow gas or liquid, it makes sense that the inside of the tube should be smooth. In other words- zero penetration beyond the thickness of the metal. Not sure what the pro fabricators do.
For now, I'll keep working on acceptable-looking beads. No matter how strong the bead is, I won't be happy if it looks like crap.
