Hey guys, I am about to start building a new subframe in a few weeks, and with it, I planned on making my own seat. I am curious though, what kind of foam did you guys use, and was it friendly for longer ride times? I do long group rides throughout the season, and need to be in the saddle for hours at a time without TOO much pain.
Any help would be appreciated

I always go to my local fabric store. They have whats called "remnants" thats always super cheap. Its usually a square yard of material and is just as sturdy and thick if not better than stock sportbike seat material. I can almost always find it in black and its never more than $10. Hope that helps.

I usually just buy the cheapest seat I can find on ebay & use the foam out of that, furniture foam is a little soft to use & I find yoga or camping mat too hard for comfort while proper high density foam is difficult to find any other way
