Hey guys,

All the information I found says a 27 mm socket for that front axle nut. I checked on a converter thing and a 1 1/16" socket is slightly smaller than a 27mm. The 1 1/16" socket I have slips off the nut. It is a 12-point, would a 6-point work better? The socket isnt a craftsman its some off-brand 12-point, but I didn't think it would slip. Unless the head is a 26mm which might make sense, I don't want to buy another socket if i dont have to but if you have any suggestions let me know.

-This is what you do, go buy one for $6 the most, use a hankercheif on both ends(side that attaches to the wrench and side that connects to the axel) Use it, then reattach the plastic to return.

That socket is useful. I used it 2 or 3 times for myself and a few times for other ppl. $6 you can't go wrong.
