This year, my mechanic/teacher/friend, Dr. Tom. is going to be renting out a set of bikes to a yet to be determined racer. This will take place at NHIS- New Hampshire International Speeday, aka Loudon.

There will be two bikes, an A bike and a B bike. One to ride thats in good shape, and a backup for when you crash it.

Rental for a day is 200ish, unless you crash, then its 400ish.

My involvement is basically being the crew. You crash it, I fix it.

Its a good way to get into racing, and you can try it out without spending all your dough on a bike.

We arent the only people to provide this service, as I believe the Wood Bros. (woodcraft) are providing a similar service as well.

Maybe I'll see you at the track. Look for a big blue van and a pink flamingo!!

Trash Can Racing Rocks!

I've heard of people doing that, but what kind of condition are these rental bikes in? Do you really even have a shot at competing or are they junkers?
these bikes are in good shape, just as good as the best ones out there. as i said. dr.tom is a professional mechanic and fulltime gear head. hes obviously not going to send someone out there on a sub-par, or under equipped machine. Thats the reason we have an A and a B bike. So we can work on one while the other is running, and always keep them both in perfect shape.

they might not look like a million bucks, race plastics are generally scuffed up from going down and everything is wired on (safety wiring is a requirement at the track).

trust me. if your paying money to ride a race prepped bike. its not gonna be junk.

yah +1 on that.

a bike is a bike..and that beats a car. heh.

if a bike is custom..im checking it out. sometimes biker doods give me funny looks cuz i hop off my "jap" bike and go and really give their bikes the full inspection. i just love custom shit.

i hate when the harley doods start talkin shit about my "jap" ride, and how i should buy an American bike..

now i tell em 1) do you know where your "american" bike was manufactured??? NOT IN AMERICA. LOOK IT UP ASSHAT!

and 2) wanna race?? i wont go out of 3rd gear!

but what you gonna do?? I ride with anyone as well. As long as your on a bike, Im there.
