I found a set of aftermarket fairings for the Duc 998/996 and the price isn't too bad. Complete set Injection molded ABS for around $300 but i will be ordering them without the tail section so that will cut some of the price down. I will be using the R6 tail I originally made for it back when I was building my TL. it has been on hold for a while till I get my other Bike on the road. but once its done i will be starting back on this one.
What are you going to suspension wise? The stock stuff was just awful. Best upgrade was a rear shock hands down. I bet there tuff to find now though. There was a Showa switch but don't remember the details
If you catch my TL build thread everything is in there. but yes adding the Bitubo shock replacement was the first thing that was done. If I go to an SSSA I will switch to something else too if needed. If I can still use the Bitubo system then I will do that too.
I don't know. Considering a bitubo mounts right side. But the again a sssa would still cross frame to frame right about where a shock mount would go. An ohlins wouldn't help because you still need the eom spring .... Hmmmm
