Not done a lot today, spent most of my time sat looking (seem to get my best ideas just sat staring at her) its now*a case of again waiting on small bits and pieces to arrive, so i can get on with the next bit on the list.

going in for sub frame plating next week, was going to take her down to **** at Red6, but getting some work done by SNT, so going to kill two birds with one stone and get them to do the welding at the same time.

Been down to SNT Race Engineering to drop off my bike for some expert loving, well get the sub frame plated where i have cut it away for swing arm clearance anyway,

also getting them to do some swing arm/chain clearance work, whilst there we concurred that it would be the best to change the chain and sprocket fitment from 530 to 520, this

would mean less metal to be removed. it was mentioned that the 530 chain i had supplied would go very well on the tractor outside!!

So i have phoned B&C Express and ordered some Renthal ultra light sprockets for my fitment needs, should be here soon. then i will pop them over to SNT for them to play with.
they will also be doing some measurements on the lower engine cases and con rods, to see if one of their new billet clutch baskets/GSXR 1000 slipper clutch will fit, now they are happy with them after doing some testing on some track days recently.

took pic of bike whilst there :)

then ordered one of these caliper brackets that will fit my Brembo 4 pot caliper, will be cutting the spindle end off and mounting it to the

fixed bracket on the Q/R system

well every day is a skool day, there was me wandering about fitment of my Brembo P4 24 rear caliper, and most importantly how it was described as fitment for 24mm and 30mm track discs.

i have checked mine and found that my disc has a 30mm track, but the pad only covers 3/4 of that track area? after some investigation it would appear that they make 2 different shaped pads for the same caliper!!

one is 5mm deeper than the other, and covers the extra track area of the 30mm disc.

so it was off to the Bay of E for the purchase of said bigger pads :)

in between this and that, I popped over to SNT Race Engineering with the 520 sprockets, also took*my old clutch basket over to have the primary gear removed and fitted to the new billet basket.

as they are confident that the new basket will fit, I have ordered a GSXR1000 K9-K16 slipper clutch from the Bay of E, asked for a hole with cover same as the one they do for the stock clutch cases to be machined into my clutch cover.

Why is waiting the hardest part? waiting for SNT to give me the call, I know the job will be done to a great level of*craftsmanship, but it is still the anticipation of the call.

i am itching to get on with things, dont need to be big things either, anything will be satisfying.

I said to Neil that once the frame is sorted and coated, bike will be like a Mechano kit, as just about everything has been on, fitted/adjusted and removed to be ready for final bolt together, big job is as always going to be the electrics and wiring.

onwards

pics back from Neil, adjustment done, looks like a bloody good job :)

good day today, been to SNT to pick up my bike, Neil has done a brilliant job of frame and swing arm machining/plating/welding, waiting on clutch basket as it is off to get anodized next week, once it is back and fitted we will see if i need a spacer for my Red6 case!

did a test fit of 530 chain on now modded arm, dont know if i will need to go to 520 after all, as there is loads of clearance on arm now. will be knocking up a chain runner for it soon too.

phoned Jon at Racefit this afternoon, have booked her in for a full system next week, will pop the head, oil coolers, pegs on before taking her down, getting there with quickening pace :)

thinking one of these but longer?? :) bit like the lucky7 yam

got some bits and pieces put back on ready for her trip to Racefit next week 😎

played around with the new billet rear brake hanger that turned up today,

trimmed the top and removed the torque arm that wont be needed in my fitment, needs some machining yet to smooth the mating faces, but happy with the end product.

looking to go for this sort of angle, 16" carbon can, angled outlet :)

Trip out to Deepest darkest Derbychestershire today, down too Darly Dales Finest pervayers of all things Trick in the world of one off Bespoke Titanium Exhaust systems :)

Great to have a catch up with Jon and the team, talk bollocks, but most importantly, at the same time try and persuade them to make me what i want.

got a few "sucking of air through clentched teeth" , accompanied with chin in palm for emphasis moments!! got shown around some of the other creations in the work shop, to highlight the work required from my wish list,

Ended the visit leaving my bike behind filled with a warm fuzzy feeling, a pipework job sorted, a stand ordered and the last bit of modification for my tank arranged. (and a freeby bag of goodies for my troubles)

Happy bunny,

onwards,

another quick trip down to Racefit to discuss the system, going to need to remove the head cooler and re locate (position identified) then rotate the main cooler so the outlets are at the top.
then on to the main event :)

thought has now entered my mind that a front "number board" with projecter lights would suit the look of the bike better than the Red6 LED unit.

might get a/some mounting blocks welded to the steering head before coating, so if i want i will be able to get it sorted without too much work.

couple of bits now on order, see how it looks

got to thinking about things (very dangerous to the wallet at times) and thought about getting a wide band Sensor, thought about it a little longer, then phoned Jon at Racefit and asked for a sensor mount fitting some where on the link pipe under the bike.

I have ordered a Wego III Air/Fuel module from Suzuki Performance Spares, to fit it :)

also ordered 2 blanking caps, as i will be getting a sensor mounting added to the GS system, might as well be able to get the most out of the Wego when she comes!

phone buzzed in my pocket, on inspection seemed to have activity from Jon at Racefit, further investigation turned up these pics of what they have been

on with since yesterdays call, system is looking brilliant, nice and close to sump, can at the angle/size wanted.

Great job from them once more, happy as a pig in sh1t with it so far 😎😎😎

more Ti porn from Jon

Phone call from Jon, System on and finished, stand made and ready with RCD bits fitted, will be picking up Sat morning all being well :)

Having sat for a while looking at the exhaust hanger bolted to the pillion peg, i have come to the conclusion that it can be done with a much neater and simpler arrangement! if i get a Titanium Japanese bar type hanger fitted between the can and the frame/grab handle, cut the can hanger bit off the pillion peg, then i can attach/remove the pillion pegs without affecting the exhaust fitment.

Just need the bike back so i can do a bit of fiddling!!

Wego unit arrived :)

Its just like being sat as a kid next to the pile of pressies under the tree on Chrimbo eve!!!!!!!! Its killing me, I think i need to grow up haha

Sooooo need the bike back to droool over the finished masterpiece that Phil and Jon have sorted for me, got things to do, bits to measure, parts to test fit...............

other good news is SNT have said clutch basket has been promised to be back from anodising next week, luverly :)

Onwards

few more pics of bike from Jon, with new system and stand, looking the dogs,

going to collect tomorrow.

PS system looks better in real life than in photos, it is truly stunning :)
