I am putting my tl1000 forks on my harley sportster. I want to make it as much of a bolt on as possible. My bearings are 1" inside with 2" outside (50.8mm) and the tl bearings are 30-55-17 both top and bottom. I found a bearing that measures 30-50-17 and 30-50-14.4. And from KML a 30-51-15. (Part number 305115) took me all night just to find the soecs on the harley bearings (they don't like listening info like that) now question if i use the smaller one (50mm) can i use a spring steel shim at 0.4mm and make a ring out of it. Or bore out my steering head to 51mm? Thanx in advance

Ok did more digging. Harley bearings are 25.35 x 50.3 x 14.8
So i am wondering about using a 30-50-14
