Well...today I traded my pitbike *sigh* for a 2001 GS500 for Melinda. She doesn't know yet, she's at a friends house a few hours away. She'll be home tonight and get to see it. At that point I'll grab a few pics...it's shitty outside now. Either way, it needs a bit of work-->chain, sprockets, bars, rear tire, and some other minor TLC. We'll get her on the road. She better like it lol, I liked my pitbike.

I wanna get her used to it and riding for a bit before I start playing with it. She's more of a full fairing chick, for now...we'll see what happens. She's pretty stoked though.

Man, I wish my girlfriend liked bikes. Her dad rides a harley, so she's more into that than the sportbikes. she said my fighter looked like a robot. :speechless:

My wife just went and renewed her license......she came home with her motorcycle permit. Now she's signing up for an instructional riding course. I guess this will be a good excuse to buy another bike!

GOT THE BASTID RUNNIN TODAY! w00t!!!!

It runs like a champ now, I was scared yesterday...was being bitchy. Played with the clutch basket, some wiring, the battery, and the starter/starter reduction gear and got it going. I'm happy as hell right now...so damn happy. And it doesn't smoke either (prev owner said it was). All it needs now is a clutch cover gasket, new bars, tach cable installed, and oil/filter change (put stuff in just to flush it again), and some air in the front tire!

And yeah...talked her into keeping it naked, AND her uncle wants to do a tribal black/grey/blue mural thing on it (it's what he does). It's free, why not!
