BEFORE:

AFTER:
Some pics, will add better ones tomorrow.

Pier on Brooklyn side overlooking Manhattan

Motor: 2002 intake cams swapped into the exhaust side along with gaskets.

Intake/Exhaust: Desnorkled airbox. Full M4 highmount exhuast system. Black exhaust wrap.

Hand controls: Skull barends. DL650 Clutch cable. Tag X5 highbend
bars. Ghetto shortened levers.

Suspension/Brakes:

Front: '98 GSXR750 forks(polished) dropped triples 7mm, calipers, Vesrah Street pads. Galfer custom length SS lines.

Rims/Tires: front: '98 GSXR750 rim and rotors w/ 60 profile Dunlop.
rear: '95 GSXR 1100 rim w/ Pirelli Corsa. Custom spacers.

Rear Suspension/Brakes: '05 636 shock. Raising Dogbones. Galfer SS line.

Drivetrain:15/45 sprocket specialties 520. DID erV3 520 chain. Barnett Clutch plates. GP shift.

Electrical: rear flush mounted near tail lights. 2nd set(smoked) mounted on each side of subframe. Acewell 2853.
Buell headlights. '05 636 signals.

Overall Look: The look was something that had just happened as I went along.
Starts from the front with a diamond plate flyscreen, Skull Barends and ends with a diamond plate undertail.
Some gold showing from the 636 shock and ends to the sprocket. Frame/ swinger with black reflective tape and a $80 bellypan.
Not all paint matched, but I made sure enough gold, silver and blue in the right places made things fit. Even the signal on the subframe wouldn't be seen unless you really look.

Lets not forget the name of the bike. Even though the place royally messed up the order. A Bacardi Bat flys proud on the rear cowl.

Bein on a budget, I had no choice but make things work.

I would like to thank Adam and AB420 for giving us the opportunity and the venue to have a FIGHTER BUILDOFF.

Also like to thank the sponsors for offering the great prizes. Prizes that are well worth me getting off my ass and getting stuff done.

More importantly I'd like to thank everyone that gave me advice as well as giving me a hand. If you'd like to see how I came to the end product and all the lil fustrations in between, feel free to click on the "151" in my sig to see the build off progress.

Thank you again.

Thanks Ammadien, it was actually by accident. In the beginning I had no plans on using diamond plate at all.

In regards to the belly pan, I lost the original brackets that came with it so I did some last minute bracket making to make the deadline.

I also was gonna throw a huge brass knuckle decal on the rear cowl, but seems too cliche'. So I got a Bacardi bat done.

That tire you gave me feels real good. Not bad for a take off at all. I didn't have time before the deadline to put on the rez delete. The Auto stores around here didn't have a mityvac. They had some aweful looking thing that I didn't trust.

I get mixed reviews with the diamond plate. Alot of ppl like the flyscreen but doin't really notice the undertail and some like the undertail but are too confused on the flyscreen. I like both. I guess that's what matters most on this bike is that it was built to suit my needs. Now if I can only figure out how to fit another 50 horses in that itty bitty engine..lol

Here's a pic of the first one with better lighting

ah endo, that's an ancient chinese secret. Actually I dd a messy job scraping off the warning stickers so I covered them up with bullet hole decals which made it look worse.

So I decided to get black reflective tape and start cutting them into slanted shapes. At night, I glow like a freagin christmas tree. I do alot of night riding in Manhattan(across that river in the background) so I def need to be seen.

No flash.....

With Flash....

I'm surprised fighters aren't more popular here.

During the day, it has that black look on the frame that I like too.

Been told by many a cager at a light that they see my bike better than the faired bikes I ride with, so hopefully it'll keep me seen.

The diamond plate undertail helps too if the cager has his headlights on from the rear...

And since I got the highmount exhaust, it can cover that rear signal at a certain angle. So I wound up getting smoked ones for the sides.

Look where the rear passenger pegs would've been attached to. You can hardly notice unless I turn my signals on. Then you'd def see the amber lights.

Unfortunately, they wouldn't have passed inspection cause of a stupid non-existent dot stamp.

I was wondering about the frame too, it gives it an eye catching design (fom pics anyways) and the fact that its black but reflective is just sweet. Where do you find black reflective tape anyways??

Great job on the build man, you have the second coolest SV I've seen

lol thanks, I have a good Idea who's the first.

I went to a local vinyl sign shop for the bacardi sticker. They didn't want to do it and I asked if they had black reflective tape. She brought out some scraps. She said they were going to throw it away(cool free?). Then she asked someone in the back and wanted $20. I just went garbage picking later that night.
