Shitty story heard way to many times but heres another shitty one. Here is what i know and whats in the news.

I got a phone call yesterday from a friends sister, he is in the ICU. A car pulled out in front of him and he smashed into the driver's door. His arms are broken in several places, his jaw in three places, all his bottom teeth are gone, his septum is broken, his nose, both collar bones, both eye sockets, cheek bones, plus a bunch of other stuff.

His sis said the docs said its up in the air if hes gonna make it.....news story below

Trooper Jeff Carpenter of the patrol’s Medina post said Andrew P. Gerspacher, 31, Wadsworth, was injured when his motorcycle, a 1982 Suzuki GS 750, struck a car that pulled out in front of him.
The driver of the car, a 2009 Cadillac CTS, was Stefan Hornung, 66, Medina. Hornung was driving south on Ryan Road and Gerspacher was traveling west on Route 162.
Carpenter said Hornung pulled into the intersection after stopping, and into Gerspacher’s lane and Gerspacher crashed into the Cadillac on the driver’s side.
Hornung was treated and released at the scene by Lafayette Fire and Rescue. Gerspacher was sent to Medina Hospital. From there, he was transferred to MetroHealth Medical Center in Cleveland, where he was listed in stable condition Monday afternoon.
Carpenter said both vehicles were severely damaged.
He said charges are pending.
Lafayette Township Trustee Lynda Bowers lives near the intersection and said the problem is all too common.
She was at the scene Monday and said she heard Hornung say he looked both ways. But Bowers said drivers on Ryan Road don’t have the best view of what is coming over the hill on Route 162.
“If you’re sitting there and you look left and right, in the time it takes you to look to the right, a car can come up over that hill,” she said.
She said the township has asked the Ohio Department of Transportation to consider improving the traffic control devices at the intersection.
ODOT said there haven’t been enough crashes at the intersection to justify additional devices.
But Bowers questioned whether ODOT is being notified about all the crashes because it only relies on accident data provided by the patrol. Bowers said some of the crashes were handled by the Medina County Sheriff’s Office, which is not responsible for providing crash data to the state.
She said there were at least six accidents there during the winter and that number is more than what ODOT has recorded.
Bowers said she intends to look through Sheriff’s Office dispatch records to provide ODOT with the additional information.
“ODOT’s been very cooperative,” Bowers said.
Bowers said she has worked successfully with ODOT in the past to bring a traffic light to Route 162 at Lake Road after too many crashes occurred there
.
“They don’t always have what they need and so we work with them to help, and we’ll stay on this one until we do that,” she said. “We’re going to look into it further and we’re not just going to let it go,” she said
