How many of you just drilled into the top triple and hoe many actually got the LSL triple?

I had an LSL ordered, but never came so I just drilled right into the top clamp. Anyone have any bad experiences with just drilling and bolting risers into the triple? I'm talking about it cracking while riding or stunting.

Since I don't stunt, I'm more concerned with handlebars and risers just cracing off while riding.

i have an lsl triple, but only b/c it was with the bike when i got it.
normally i just drill the triple and bolt on risers, never had any problems. i usually put a couple big ass washers on there to spread the load a lil bit.

I've only ever simply drilled...never had a problem and I've had/seen some sketchy moments. Last year I did a few track days on a bike with drilled clamps and found no ill effects.

I drilled mine out...and it worked great until i looped the bike and the bars ripped out of the tripple when they hit the ground...but that was from a 40 mph backflip soOoOo. you gotta expect some shit to break.

i was thinking of drilling em out to mount em, then welding it just for ease of mind, but if/when i loop the bike again....if the bars dont give where is the pressure gonna go to?? hopefully not the forks right!

yup, does the same thing as the big washers i normally use. it spreads the load across a wider surface of the triple, and it'll be alot less likely to pull thru that way. i'd put a washer, or something similar, on the top and the bottom.

I got my TAG bars from AfterburnerMX.. these guys give great service. Sent me a tracking #, even called my cell before it was chipped to double check the color of the bars and afterwards to make sure I got the package.

Should be the 3rd one from the bottom on the left hand side, the T2 bars with the pad..
