hey all, anybody got any suggestions as to a fuel tank conversion for my fizer? Ive seen an R6 tank shell replacement but would prefer a tank with no shell so does anyone have any ideas for a tank that can be made to fit without too much trouble? and forks etc that can be made to fit again without too much fuss as my knowledge and ability are not too hot. thanks in advance.... :thumbsup:

spyder has a yzf600 tank on his(not r6). i dont know what all was involved in the swap. i think any tank you use you will need to have a helper fuel pump since the carbs will be higher than the tank outlet. There are lots of tanks you can make fit but you would have to throw out the "too much trouble" part of your question. You would probably need to relocate the coolant filler neck because im sure most tanks will have a clearance issue right there. TLS tank shape is close but not perfect

with enough fire and a big enough hammer, anything will fit

cheers, I`ll check out the yzf and big buddha its my first bike so Im a little scared of taking a hammer to it at the moment, Im sure I`ll get there tho

go to the member project bike section and search for user SPYDER and see what comes up. He has the yzf tank but he also frenched it and put some gauges in the tank just in front of the fuel filler.

yzf tank fits with pretty minor modifications. Nothing you shouldn't be able to do.
