g-style street-fighters' 1989 Suzuki GSX-R 750 : Project G-2 Discussion
Finaly gettin this up, I've been workin' 6 days a week lately and will be for most of the winter (gotta pay for a trip in May!!!).
Project G-2 consists of a clapped out 1989 GSXR in need of some styling help. I bought the bike $1000 (pic 1 - hurtin unit) from a buddy at a recyclers. Him and his buddies race locally and this was to be his freinds "fun day" bike. It was really rough. Chris decided to make a fighter of it and began the instal of the R1 tail (a racers special - fiberglass molded from a stocker - crap!!). He had a local butcher make up the subframe but didn't have the time to finish it. They welded it so badly I didn't trust it at all (pic 2 - terrible welds). I strengthened up the subframe a bit and quickly threw together the headlight mount for some $35 fog lights (pic 3). And the cateye taillight Plastic $25 unit, and painted it black (rattle can of course) (pic 4).
