Kampf-Krad (New Speedo)

This is my second Fighter, SC28...The last one was a ZX900E.

Now the pictures of the progress :

When I bought it she looks very...

Let's rip it into pieces !

After the blasting (Glas pearls) :

Engine cleaning and painting :

Blasting Frame and Swing Arm :

After the powder coating, assembling...

Wheels after blasting :

Wheels after powder coating :

A lot of parts will be painted black, it should look like a rat rod at last...

Now, let me hear what you think about it...

Greeting from good ol' Germany

Hmm...the color will be flat grey (some spots should look like they're rusty, old), german iron cross on the fuel tank (like my avatar).

So long...

btw : Kampf-Krad (Krad - KraftRAD) means Combat-Motorbike sounds stupid in english...

Today i tryed how i can the paint look like it's old...

The Hightech-spray booth  :

Now the attempts :

1. Fresh black paint, scratched with a brush, looks like old wood...Shit...

2. Sanding paper, rubbed with waste oil. It works...

Seht sehr gut aus!

Wilkommen an bord!

It never ceases to amaze me how many 900RR's Honda built - those things are everywhere, and they hold their value(at least in my area) like crazy.

Good luck with the build!

i really like your paint idea. i had thought of it for hybrids bike (my 929). i was going to just ruff everything up and let it sit out for a bit then clear it.....but i didnt want to give him a heartattack!

so i'll live vicariously thru you! cant wait to see it, looking beautiful!
