I had planned on selling my 2012 Ninja 250 and buying something cheap and used to turn into a streetfighter.
Last week I got hit on Monday (hit-and-run) and someone knocked my bike over while parked on the other side on Friday. All my fairings are damaged, so now I’m going to fighter the 250 instead. Just waiting on my brother to come over and help me get it up to my apartment.

Will add pics once I get it inside.

I’m about as nooby as it gets, but want to learn and spend the time to do this right.

Here’s my plans, feel free to chime in:

Phase 1
-Take off all the plastics
-Relocate ugly wiring and such
-Replace coolant overflow tank with a C02 canister or something
-Headlight
-Reuse stock gauges if possible
-Remove rear fender and re-mount indicators

Phase 2, depending on cash situation
-Something with the tail, I really like the short tail look I’ve seen around here
-Clip-ons and shorty levers
-Slip-on or full exhaust (but not sure about rejetting)

We got it up into the apartment today, just walked it up the stairs into the elevator.

Here's some shots that show the crash damage and it sitting in my music studio.

Time to start stripping it down!
