Here's a tip...

I was painting some bare metal I had after doing some welding to the bike. Well, of course, after the touch-up I noticed some spray paint had dripped down onto the front wheel fender. Shiny red fender + flat-black birdpoop drips = not cool. I tried scrubbing it with some Orange Blast cleaner to no avail.

So I looked around the garage for something that might be able to remove some dripped paint without damaging the fender's color.

DOT3 brake fluid. Yep, that'd work. TOO WELL. :D didn't use it.

Aaahh... WD-40. That cleaned my bathroom floor like a CHAMP. So I sprayed a little bit of it on the paint drips, and wouldn't ya know... Stuff came right off with a paper towel. Now the fender's as good as new, and you can't even tell I tried to use spray paint without properly protecting the surrounding area! Lesson learned.

Just thought somebody else might find themselves in a similar sitch, and now you know --- WD-40 will safely (more or less) remove over sprayed cheap rattlecan paint.

You can also spray things with WD-40 (or brush it on for cleanliness) that you fear might get oversprayed.

"All you need to work on anything is duct tape, WD-40, and a hammer.
If it moves and it ain't supposed to, use duct tape.
If it doesn't move and it's supposed to, use WD-40.
If it don't fit or it still ain't movin... it fuckin will by the time I'm done with it."
