Joined a few days ago. Ive read (lurked) this site for sometime over the last year or so, seen lots of nice bike's and builds and felt inspired. So ive decided to put my Japanese jig-saw puzzle together this winter hopefully have it functional and roughed out by spring time (God Willing!). I own a 1989 GPX 750 R, At the moment ive tore into the top end and going to replace the head gasket. I plan on rebuilding/customizing it without the plastics , give er a cafe/tracker type look when im done, just something simple and functional. Anyways Im in Montana and come from a dirt background, thought id check in and say Hello.

Mine had a low side laydown at one poiint in its life so virtually none of the plastics even line up to the old holes that is the ones were the bolting up tabs arent broken, both the tabs for my tail just went so more zip ties.
I like my plastics alot but they are starting to get a bit hopless with someone actually riding it now. I assume yours was the same way?
Biggest prob mine has is an oil cooler under the headlight, not a good solution for that if i fighter it lol.

Those actually help ALOT, i tried using gorilla glue but it didnt want to adhere to the plastics, so i will have to bust out the soldering iron and give it a go! esspecially with that paperclip trick, that could solve alot of my problems! Thanks!
