Im 99% sure its a direct bolt on. If anything would need to be chamged it would be the steering stem bearings but when doing front end swaps its a good idea to change those anyway since you've already got it apart. Preventative maintenance and all.

Careful with fork length difference I put gsxr 1100 forks on my bandit and they were just about the perfect length. I know the gsxr1000 forks were much shorter, but you should be alright.

I had a k4 front end on my 88 model 7/11. Originally it had a complete 91 model 1100 front end. When I wanted to upgrade to a front end with radial brakes, I used a set of k4 forks and brakes. Also upgraded to carrozerria wheels to suit a k4.
Ended up with 91 model 1100 yokes with (I think) a .5mm shim on the top yoke and a1mm shim for the bottom yoke, and used a tlr axle, wide enough to match the 1100 yokes, and also 25mm diameter to suit the k4 wheels.
The other bonus is you will save about 4.4 kgs in weight from changing the forks and brake callipers.
