Hi there i plan on putting a gsxr1100 engine (oil cooled) 1992 spec engine, in my 1996 600 bandit, i no the bottom mount is slightly different, well this is what i have been told, i was wondering if anybody has done it or knows if the engine will fit.

Should slide right in.....the fuel tap may hit the valve cover but thats it....it'll be a bitch to adjust valves so do em in advanced...may have to drop motor when the time come again

the only reason i was curious is the 1200 bandit mounts are different to the 600 bandit, well the bottom one is... this is all the mods i plan on doing tell me what you think

The colour is going to be a deep blood red, with a heavy gold metalic or metal flake. The body work, frame, head and barrells and spokes on wheels going to be this colour

all the oil cooled suzuki's use the same mounts. so like already said, it should go right in, but it's TIGHT. getting the motor in the frame is one thing, getting everything else to fit around it is another though.

The frame on the 1200 bandit and 600 bandit are the same apart from the bottom is cradle on 1200 (off top of me head), hopefully it will fit if not have to go down to gsxr750 motor.

You might want to look at the RF 900 motor if the 11 is to big.
I think it was just a punched out 750....But I'v been wrong once before.

rf's are liquid cooled. dunno if you've ever tried to stuff a water pumper into and oil cooled frame, but it's not easy at all. that, and rf's have a downdraft head, which would make getting the carbs to clear everything a nightmare.

i know there's been a few 6/11's and 6/12's (oil cooled) built, but i've never seen one first hand, so i don't know exactly what it takes to make it all work.
