Wow.

If you want a sub-$200 prebuilt mask headlight, you're going to get shit. All the Acerbis lights and knockoffs are awful. If you don't ever ride at night, go with an Acerbis.

If you want a sick classic fighter face on your bike, you either have to make one or shell out some cash.

It also helps to have thick skin because there are guys who will insult you for asking questions :p
I did a search and didn't find anything. The square headlight and fairing make the TW look a bit dated to me. I was wondering what other guys have tried. I'm thinking of a modern headlight "mask" of some kind. I have a '05 so something black is good.

Acting like a tool wont get you help. This section is for specific bike problems that require troubleshooting. A headlight mask could apply to any bike, and would better fit the general section. Admittedly, I one of the bigger correct section nazi's on the forum, so that's just an fyi, no big deal.

So, if that was sarcastic, you forgot your sarcastic smilie......Like this: :D

If it was serious then quit before you come off as an asshole, numbnuts.

Hey, I’m trying to make a barely road legal track bike,
I don’t do a lot of road riding these days but still like to flog up the mountain on a nice day and im too cheap to buy a deicated track bike :biggrin

So..
Got a set of race fairings, made a custom number plate holder with a taillight and indicators etc... All on the one bracket so when I go to the track it can easily be taken off in a minute or two.
Front indicators are the hot bodies’ flush-mount ones…

BUT, my problem lies with a headlight...
Anyone have any ideas on were to mount a headlight so it can easily be taken off?
But is still legal enough to ride?
I don’t really want to cut into the front fairing to put a single beam light in.
I never ride at night so it doesn’t really need to work as a headlight, more visual I guess for the cops :)

Any ideas would be appreciated.
Thanks.

I can’t see where you’re located so I don’t know what your requirements are. I’ve seen a few bikes that have those thin but wide, blue tinted foglights (ya know the $19.99 Autozone specials) mounted under the race fairings. Tuck them tight enough and they may miss the front fender.

Later, Doug
