I’m in the middle of turning my 2004 Kawasaki Ninja 500 (EX500) into more of a utilitarian café racer style build. and I’m working out the front-end setup now.
I’m looking for some advice on:
Headlights
I want to run a round 7" headlight (thinking matte black housing, maybe yellow/amber lens).
Does anyone here have recommendations for a solid universal bucket/bracket setup that works well with the Ninja 500 forks (37mm)?
Would love to hear what others have used.
As for the Odometer / Gauge I’m after something pretty minimal ideally a single speedo, either a small analog unit or a compact digital one.
Has anyone here wired in a mini speedo or digital unit on the EX500?
Any brands/models you’d recommend that don’t overcomplicate the wiring?
Any input on headlight fitment, wiring tips, or odometer options would be hugely appreciated. Pics of your own setups would be awesome too.
