My homeboy over on SMJ, 2weelz, built this DRZ400SM. It is his commuter bike. He is basically done with it overall, just a lot of little things like wiring to sort out.
What do you guys think?

I like it! I agree though...those Acerbis headlights are overused. I bet that thing would be so much fun. Do you have any more pics?

He isn't finished with it yet. I am assuming he'll put turn signals on it and he is putting LED strips in the back for the tail light. I don't have any more pics of the bike. That is all he posted.
The tires are the stock equiped dunlop 208s. Every drz400sm comes with the tires. The rear is a tiny little 140 though.

Exhaust is from a Raptor quad. He cut it down and made a smaller baffle to keep the noise down.

I'm not a big fan of the "no tail after the seat" type rear - but that just looks RIGHT. Even the shitty headlight looks OK on this.

I dont' like his headlight either. He should mount up 2 small foglights stacked on eachother to continue the super minimalist theme.

I have that Acerbis on my 250, and I agree with the rest of you, Acerbis kinda bugs me now.

That bike is about as minimalist as I've seen! I can't imagine what it would look like with someone riding it:LolLolLolLol: Props for building a very unique bike though, A blacked out motor might add a nice touch to it maybe...

He said he's going to have powder coating done, on which parts I don't know.

on a side note, I've been lookin for a drz-400 sm for my comuter bike for when Iget to NC in a couple weeks. it may have to wait for a little while though.

DRZ400SMs are street legal from the floor.

I've been a member for a while. I just don't get over here much. Thanks for the comments. As for the headlight...I'm just using what I already have in the garage. It's probably not my first choice but it saved me $80. I bought it new for $4500 and I still have $4500 in it. That's how I do it.
