No Candy, hes wiring a bandit cdi into a his Gix and we couldnt work out why we wasnt getting a spark, it suddenly dawned on me about the 100 ohm resistor, found your thread to show him how it goes

melting my brain here, i have neither bandit ignition barel or loom but i'm putting a bandit cdi in , i think i'm just about there , 100ohm resistor to go between orange yellow and black white , orange yellow being main feed , what do i do with the orange red wire

I can't imagine there is any advantage of the bandit cdi over a gixxer one. I assume your stock one got fried and a bandit one is all you could get your hands on??

i had a dyna 2000 that died and 2 bandit cdi's were available for free

I have a 98 gix 6 I put replacement ignition switch and the orange, B/w, red on one side of the plug, and the others are on the opposite side. Continued to plug in and it turns over but doesn't start

the stock ignition switch has a 100ohm resistor in it, you won't find it on wiring diagrams, but the bike won't spark without it being dealt with
